Slab Lab…Written in 2008 in Laurel Canyon about a real place that existed in Hollywood on Sunset where debauchery, drugs, alcohol and filth were common place, a crash pad for the homeless and lost. Originally the song was from 1977 when Rock Bottom and I were putting The Spys together, it was called I’m no Surfer. We played it live at the Whiskey, one of the few shows we ever played due to excessive drug use.
